Bareroot Herbaceous Peonies
We send strong roots of flowering size with a minimum of 3-5 buds. Orders all year round, peonies are sent bareroot in fall (October, November, December) and early in spring (late February and March).

NELLIE SAYLOR (Krekler 1967)
Flower simple - japanese form, magenta or deep burgundy guard petals and a somewhat flattened center of petaloids which are creamy white and drenched with many tints of pink. A couple of magenta petals are always poking through in this center dome, adding much to the excitement of these flowers. Nice dark green leaves and very rigid stems, excellent upright habit. Flowers pleasantly fragrant. A very good peony, striking color combinations, recommended...
NOSEGAY (Saunders 1950)
Single flowers, shell pink to soft salmon glazed in silver, fat golden yellow stamens surrounding purple stigmas complete a sensational display. Noticeable fragrance. It is a hybrid created from P. mlokosewitschi x P. tenuifolia breeding. Early blooming, very floriferous and vigorous, charming, recommended.
OLD FAITHFUL (Glasscock-Falk 1964)
Flowers large, dark velvet red, double, with heavy substance of the petals. Highly prized, in our opinion, this is the best in its class. Flowers lightly fragrant. Strong stems and healthy, dark green foliage. Excellent as a cut-flower. American Peony Society Gold Medal Winner (1997)...one of the best peonies!
OLD ROSE DANDY (Laning 1993)
Semi-double flowers of old rose color which intensifies (darkens) with age (unusual color), large flare at base of petals, interesting purplish rose blend at opening. Profuse flowering, lovely dark green leaves. Height 80 cm. Unique sort, always in high demand.

Flowers single, deep shining red , cup shaped, stamens yellow. Natural species distributed in south-eastern Europe. Very early flowering (May). Precious species suitable natural gardens and sunny places, especially good in combination with taller perennials.

Large, very dark red flowers, semi-double to double, fine waxy substance. Bright yellow stamens in the centre are visible during full bloom. Shiny green foliage on strong erect stems, nice purple autumn coloration of leaves.
PETITE ELEGANCE (Klehm 1995)
Large, semi-double flower made of a blend of rose and creamy-yellow. The lower part of each petal is creamy-yellow but the upper part is of a vivid pink with raspberry streaking and lightly crumpled margins. Almost delicate picotee effect! Flowers are held upright on strong stems. Elegant peony, unique pattern of the flowers, a favorite for cut flower bouquets.

Large double flowers, light pink heavily dotted dark pink. Unique sort with perfectly round finely dotted flowers. Healthy growth, nice foliage, simply a jewel among peonies! Till now very rare new sort, beautiful, recommended!
PILLOW TALK (Klehm C.G. 1973)
Flowers double, large, no stamens. Cameo pink colour with hint of rose at base, pleasantly fragrant. Excellent as a cut flower. Strong stems and dark green leaves, height 80 cm. Charming!
PINK HAWAIIAN CORAL (Klehm 1981)
Large, semi-double light salmon-pink (coral) witk relatively few dark yellow stamens in center. Fast growing sort with many thick strong stems, very early flowering, good for cutting, fragrant.
PRIMEVERE (Lemoine 1907)
A flattish flower with creamy white, cupped guards, center composed of short, narrow petals of canary-yellow, becoming light with age. Fragrant flowers. Very floriferous peony, good grower.
RASPBERRY CHARM (Wissing - Klehm 1985)
Flowers semi-double, large, a cup form, raspberry red with golden stamens in the centre. Blooming quite a bit ahead of other full-flowered peonies, lasts forever as a cut flower. Thick and very strong stems, plant habit of Coral Charm, height 85 cm. Beautiful peony, only rarely offered.
RASPBERRY SUNDAE (Klehm 1968)
A well shaped creamy white double with raspberry pink over the top. Very pleasant sweet fragrance. Vigorous grower, medium tall with flexing stems. So nice combination of white and pink...a long time customer's favourite.
RED CHARM (Glascock 1944)
Sensational deep red double flowers. Flowers large (20 cm), perfectly formed. Mild sweet fragrance. The stems are strong and hold the large blooms erect. Excellent foliage. One of the best red coloured peonies, excellent for cutting.
RED GRACE (Glasscock 1980)
Flowers extremely large, dark, clear crimson red, double, forms a complete ball as the bloom expands to full size. Early blooming with no fuchsia or purple tones. Strong stems, height 80 cm.
RUTH CLAY (Kelsey 1935)
A medium to large (12 cm) velvety red bloom that is a very different shade of a bright chestnut blood red or reddish mahogany, slight fragrance. Strong stems, fine as cut or garden flower. Suitable to natural gardens, good in combination with perennials.
SALMON CHIFFON (Klehm 1981)
Flowers semi-double, large, intense salmon pink. Three rows of petals surround golden-yellow stamens. Flowers cup-shaped, fragrant. Very romantic appearance. Height 85 cm, strong stems, light green leaves. Charming, rarely offered peony, recommended.
SARAH BERNHARDT (Lemoine 1906)
Very large, double, dark rose-pink flowers with a slight red edging in the middle of the flower. A well known variety named for a famous actress, very floriferous, fragrant. Slow grower, many stems, widely used as cut flower.
SCARLET O'HARA (Falk-Glasscock 1956)
Large, fiery red single flowers and contrasting golden stamens on strong stems come from breeding P. lactiflora x P. officinalis. Superb, rich green foliage on a very vigorous, easy to grow plant. If you have a full sun garden, you need this peony for sure…

Large white double flowers with a light blush, opening from pink buds. Slight fragrance. Good grower with strong bush and dark green foliage. Excellent for cutting.
SOFT SALMON SAUCER (Cousin/Klehm 1981)
Soft salmon pink single flowers are saucer-shaped. Opening buds hold a true perfect cup-shape for a long time. Pink color shading to a deeper tone at the base of the petals, which surround the golden stamen centre. Perfectly formed, the flowers display a grand elegance and finesse. Flowers mildly fragrant. A lovely peony indeed...
SORBET (Klehm 1995)
Large (15 cm), double, remarkable flowers are buildt of several levels of small vanilla-cream petals sandwidched between larger strawberry and raspberry colored petals, with a pale yellow color...like a sorbet! Unusual and pretty, with a very nice fragrance which fill your garden. Long lasting flowers, ideal for cutting.
