Finely cut leaves, single bright red petals and golden yellow center. Height 30-40 cm. Need very sunny position and well drained soil, excellent for rock gardens. Natural wild species, very rare. I offer 3 years old plants potted in 2 liter container.
PREMIER (Barr 1899)
The standards and style arms are violet-blue; the falls are cream-colored, transitioning to violet-blue at the edges with distinct blue veining. The flowers are spider-like in shape, and the plant reaches a height of 100 cm. A healthy, vigorous iris for sunny locations; plant as a solitary specimen or in mixed perennial beds.
XANTHOSPURIA
Flowers deep yellow to golden yellow. Wild plant coming from Turkey. Only other two wild species of the Spuria group of irises have yellow flowers - I. spuria subsp. halophila and I. crocea. Plant height 80-100 cm, frost resistant in Czech Republic.
